Our Story!
When Lana opened Quik Pik Flowers, it was a tiny shop on First & Young. Her dream was to allow people to walk-in, pick their flowers & get a bouquet made up, on the spot. It was a new concept 30+ years ago & it is what we continue to strive for today…to keep up to-date…stay on-trend & relevant within a busy, ever-changing, growing community. Britt worked for Lana in her first shop, first in grade 11 & then grade 12, both times through the Entrepreneur Program at Sardis Secondary. Britt took a job at Quik Pik at the age of 20…but soon moved on to an office job, college, marriage & kids. Lana was innovative & felt strong about her family & her community. When Lana approached Britt’s mom in Safeway one December day, back in 2011 about retiring & maybe Britt buying the shop, we all giggled. It was never Britt’s dream to own a shop, but with 2 kids to raise & a new partner to support her dreams of bigger things for her family, it was a thought that she could just not pass by. Britt & Lee purchased Quik Pik Flowers December 1, 2012. Along with their 3 kids, William, Abby & Ava, they changed the name to BLOSSOM FLORAL DESIGN to keep up with the times, give it a fresh start & reflect on how far we have come as a family & how bright the future of BLOSSOM in Chilliwack really is!

Ava, Bouquet Queen
Ava was born into the business of flowers! Mom Britt, owns the shop, but we all know that Ava is the real boss! Ava brings a sense of adventure to the shop, with her young hippy vibe & free spirit! Ava now works at the shop full-time alongside Britt & Alicia. Ava has developed quite the set of design skills from everyday bouquets to bridal bouquets…but has found her love for big wedding pieces, like arbor installations to be her real true love! Watching Ava develop her creative side has been such a pleasure to have been a part of. ~Very Proud Mom

With 24 years of floral design experience & a passion for business & flowers it was a natural progression for Britt to own this shop. 7 years after purchasing Quik Pik Flowers, Britt decided to stamp her store with a new look, vision & name. BLOSSOM is what she has done in & with the shop & was the inspiration behind the new name. Britt is working on & Celebrating year 10 of owning Blossom Floral Design! Britt’s passion, along with the business of floral design, is Wedding Work. From quoting to design, Britt’s passion shows in every bouquet she creates!
Alicia, Details Diva
Alicia joined the team after a quick few days of volunteering her time, with her mom, during "dance" season & has been with us for 5+ years! Alicia brings a young vibe to the shop with her fresh take on color & design. She is a fast learner & took to "the twist" hand-tied bouquet method easily, taught by former team member, Britny. Alicia's attention to detail is her specialty, with careful precision & consideration being taken with each order! Alicia also loves permanent botanical creating & we welcome it with open arms! She is so very talented!
